You've stumbled upon a strange place...

Feb. 17th, 2023

Wassup everyone? Sorry for not being the most active person or updating the site super frequently, but that's likely gonna be a pattern with me. As much as I'd love to, I can't always keep up with every platform (or whatever ya wanna call it) all the time. I can barely handle a sleep schedule, much less a consitent activity schedule online.

I haven't forgotten about this site however, nor do I have intention on abandoning it. I have ideas for pages I'd like to add in the future, but I won't announce them till I'm sure I can see it to fruition.

I will do my best to keep the smaller sections of the site (such as Artwork of The Month) updated in an appropriate manner, but it's not a promise.

Hey, I'm Kanpeki, Peki, PileOfGlass... whatever ya wanna call me.

I make music (mostly Drum n Bass) and graphics (mostly logos & designs).
The 2 programs that I use the most for art are FL Studio + GIMP.

I found Neocities the way that I imagine a lot of people did, via Fauxx's site. That was probably 2-3 years ago, but it left a, long lasting, nostalgic impression.

I recently started using Tumblr again. It's been about 6 or 7 years since I had used it last. Tumblr had quickly reminded me of Neocities cause I followed a few people who post "old web" content. I decided to take another look at Fauxx's site and still thought it was the coolest thing ever. Not just because I'm obsessed with Serial Experiments Lain, but I've also been experiencing an ever-growing craving to re-experience niche or obscure bits of my childhood, which includes the limited internet access I had. On a whim, I signed up to Neocities with minimal expectations. I mostly wanted to browse other's sites and potentially make my own in the future. I unexpectedly found loads of sites that I love and it gave me the inspiration to relearn HTML.

I used to do sparce HTML on MySpace back in the stone age, but haven't touched the shit in a long time. It's been about 13 - 14 years since I've attempted any dev work. I restarted this journey on Jan. 20th, 2023.

Give me time to learn wtf I'm doing...
or at least give me enough time to decide that I'm way too in-over-my-head with this shit lol.

I'll be adding more functionality and more pages to the site as time goes on. The goal of the site is to be a hub for my art and a place for aspiring creators to find rescources.

P.S. If anyone can help me get a fuctioning audio player that runs via YouTube or Spotify links, I'd be super grateful. (Especially if it has all the same fuctions as the SCM player. I wanna be able to name the audio + see/hide a playlist.)
